A visit with Revival Cycles and Gear!

Wow, this was really one of the most stupendous field trips ever. Their website is here. Fingers crossed that they'll teach a class for Austin Tinkering School, they said they were interested!

Oh my goodness, this looks like a fantastic field trip! I'm curious, this trip and the woodworking trip are such excellent ideas - but are these people you already know/have relationships with?

Thanks so much! I didn't know these folks beforehand. I actually met both of them at an event called the East Austin Studio Tour, where hundreds of artists and artisans open their doors for a weekend and let people visit their studios. I had a good sense that both Brian David Johnson and the guys at Revival were really nice and kid-friendly but they both turned out to be even better than I could have hoped for. I have done lots of field trips and almost everyone has surpassed expectations. I have also totally cold-called people and it worked out great. People are amazingly cool and very inviting when you are excited about their area of interest.
